CMRF Exam Program

• • The Chief Minister Research Fellowship Eligibility Test (CMRF) Scheme is to provide Research Platform for meritorious Postgraduates to develop the Research Career in the progressive trajectory of Professional / Academic front.
• • The tenure of the fellowship is for three years from the date of commencement of fellowship for doing full time Ph. D programme
• • A total of 180 candidates is chosen for this fellowship every year.
• • Initial 2 (Two) years will be considered as Junior Research Fellowship (CM-JRF) & remaining 1 (One) year will Senior Research Fellowship (CM-SRF)
• • The candidate must join the fellowship within six (6) months from the date of issue of the CMRF award letter.
• • For the candidates already regis1ered/admitted in Ph.D, the fellowship shall commence from the declaration of CMRF result, whichever is applicable.

• • Native of Tamil Nadu.
• • Any Post Graduate degree from a recognized Institution, located in the State of Tamil Nadu.
• • P.G. students in the final semester can also appear for the CMRF Eligibility Test, but the selection will be subject to passing the P.G. programme, as per the required norms.
• • A Minimum of 60% marks in the Post Graduate Degree; 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ Differently abled / Women candidates.
• • The Candidates must have obtained the Post Graduate degree after completion of Under Graduation, Higher Secondary / Diploma, S.S.L.C., or equivalent following [10+2+3+2 or 10+3+3+2 or 10+2+5 pattern (in case of 5-year integrated course)] from any University or Institution, recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• • There is no upper age limit in applying for CMRF.
